Chocolate Truffle Cookies

These Chocolate Truffle Cookies are a delightful combination of rich, gooey chocolate and the luxurious flavor of chocolate truffles. Perfect for any chocolate lover

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate truffle pieces
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts optional

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the semisweet chocolate chips and butter in 30-second increments, stirring after each increment until smooth

Allow it to cool slightly

In a separate bowl, beat the granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined

Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the sugar mixture and stir until smooth

In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt

Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined

Fold in the chocolate truffle pieces and chopped walnuts if using

Drop spoonfuls of the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft

Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely
